MATARIKI
Matariki is a new year for Maoris celebrate it in different dates and also they set new goals,new plans, and also reflect. In the Matariki cluster there are 9 stars they are named Waiti, Waita, Waipunarangi, Tupuanuku, Tupuarangi, Rrurang, Pohutukawa, Hine-ite-rangi.
People celebrate it by using firework and light trails and make kites and do parties and family inners for the maori new year. This year New Zealand calibrated it on 24th of June.
If u ont see the 7 sisters they say its bad luck but if u do see the 7 sisters its good luck.
